Carrying Your Fishing Gear

For one minute, try to think the way a criminal would think. If you were at a rest stop looking for your next target or victim, what would you look for? Let’s pretend for a moment that you were going to target a vehicle. Which would be more appealing, a car whose owner stopped for a quick bathroom break or an expensive looking Class A motor home, whose owners are out walking their dogs? I don’t have the mind of a criminal but this is an easy choice. That expensive looking RV probably has expensive contents inside like, jewelry, cameras, and a laptop computer.

Do you know that there are fishermen that even collect supplies just for fun? Even if you just aim to collect them, you should at least have little knowledge about it. Fishing has filled my mind with memories that I will cherish my whole life. I was recently fishing with my 71-year-old father and I got to admire him reeling in a 10-pound plus steelhead. Even at 71 and after a lifetime of catching fish the excitement of reeling in a large fish can turn a man into a child again. The power of fishing is captivating and the knowledge one can gain from fishing is endless.

As a fishing chair – many trolleys in the industry now double as chairs which fishing hobbyists could easily sit on though waiting for a fish to swim by or bite on their bait. You can find boaters wearing clothing with their favorite boat manufacturer, discount fishing gear, race boat driver or engine manufacturer. At any launch ramp you are bound to see stickers on truck windows such as ‘Sea Ray’ or ‘Fountain’. Some boaters even decorate their tow vehicles to match their boats. There are also those who love their boats and the water so much that they live on their vessels for extended periods of time. But what about something more permanent? There is nothing more permanent to show your love for your boat or being on the water than a tattoo.

Let us consider firsthand your budget before packing your things for a trip. In hiring for a charter boat, their prices depend to the number of people that will include your adventure. Each person will have price range. Normally, it would also depend if you are on a half day or quarter day trip. Take note that it would be less expensive if you go for half day trip than full days. And since it is per person cost, if your group is more than six, you can sure save.

It’s unfortunate that we live in a day and age where we need to take these added measures to protect ourselves. I don’t want you to feel like everybody you meet during your travels is a thief or has bad intentions. Just use common sense and be aware of what is going on around you.
